MCKAY, Lenard Richard John

July 2, 1936 – April 25, 2021

Lenard Richard John McKay passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the age of 84, in Calgary, Alberta.

Len was born at home on July 2, 1936, in the Regional Municipality of Shellmouth, Manitoba. His favourite time and place was while attending school in Broachdale. A carpet layer by trade, he opened his own successful carpet store in Okotoks, Alberta, in the mid-1970’s, until closing it a dozen years later to enjoy early retirement.

Travelling was a love of Len’s and he was happiest on the road. He had many fine automobiles and a motor home throughout the years, but was particularly fond of this Lincoln Continental Town Car.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the expressions of love and kindness from relatives and friends; and would also like to thank all the health care workers for the amazing care Len received the past few years.
