Patrick Aloysius McBride

Born 1939 in Glasgow, Scotland, Patrick passed away on November 9, 2018 in Abbotsford, BC. Patrick is survived by his loving wife Colleen, daughters Joanna and Jessica (Ryan), sister Bernie (Peter) in Scotland, and 2 granddaughters Jersie and Rylie, whom he adored.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 16, at 2:00 pm at Bradner Hall, 5305 Bradner Road.

Donations can be made in Patrick’s memory to the Alzheimer Society, the ALS Society, or to the BCSPCA.

Messages of Condolence

I was just going through some old Christmas cards and come across one from Pat with his retirement articles enclosed. I thought I hadn’t heard from him for a few years and checked him out and was surprised and sorry to hear of his passing. Pat and I attended an EDC course in Ottawa and became very good friends, him being from Glasgow and myself from Belfast. We were of kindred spirits with our military and policing background. I recall our relationship as always being fun times and a real pleasure to be around. We exchanged Christmas cards but our paths did not cross again. My condolences go to Coleen and family on their loss as I know he was a big presence and truly will be missed.
