Mary Ruth Parks

June 5, 2026

Mary Parks passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Port Arthur, Ontario, Mary was the beloved daughter of Ruth and Charles Farley. She lived a life centered on family, love, and devotion to those closest to her. Mary will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the lasting impact she had on everyone who knew her.

Mary is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Larry Parks; her sister, Margaret Farley; and her children, Lori Ann Frey, Bill Parks, Scott Parks, Greg Parks, and Marley Parks.

She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Clay Frey, Rainer Frey, Shylo Frey, Charlie Parks, Paige Parks, Brigette Parks, Rylie Cherkewich-Parks, Peyton Cherkewich-Parks, Samantha Radway, and Penelope Radway . Her grandchildren brought immense joy to her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Mary was also a proud foster parent, opening her heart and home to children in need with the same compassion, patience, and unconditional love that defined her life. Her nurturing spirit and dedication to caring for others touched the lives of many and created a lasting legacy of kindness and generosity.

One of Mary’s greatest pleasures was cheering on her children and grandchildren from the sidelines. Whether it was an early morning game, a weekend tournament, or a championship event, she rarely missed an opportunity to support and encourage those she loved. She took immense pride in their accomplishments and simply loved being present for the moments that mattered most to them.

Mary also found happiness and peace at the family cabin at Lake Diefenbaker. The cabin was a special place where cherished memories were made through laughter, family gatherings, and quiet moments enjoying the beauty of the lake. Time spent there with family was among her greatest treasures.

Mary’s love for her family was unwavering, and her warmth, compassion, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at a later date. The family appreciates the support, prayers, and kindness extended to them during this difficult time.

Forever loved, forever remembered.
