Nelson was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba quite impatient to get out in the world. He lived most of his life in Kindersley, Saskatchewan. Nelson was an honor roll student, teaching most of his smarts to his siblings. Embarrassing enough quite a few to his parents. He drilled his siblings the definition of DNA. Nelson struggled his whole life with a body that just wouldn't work, but he made the best of it and never complained. He was one to always have a sense of humor and keep medical staff on their toes. The staff at the Kindersley hospital one time threatened to paint his toe nails pink unless he quit pushing the busser for help, well next thing I know he is calling home asking for nail polish remover.
Nelson was able to graduate in 2010, and we couldn't have been prouder, receiving a standing ovation as he accepted his diploma. Nelson's love for simpsons, family guy and pokemon kept him going through some very rough spots. Nelson will be remembered by every person he met, he was just that personable. He had a smile that would melt absolutely anyone, and it did get a few nurses falling in love with him. He was not a fan of any doctor but they loved him just the same.
Nelson is beyond a shadow of a doubt my hero, and always will be. Someone to base my own life upon. Live, love and laugh, not much else matters……
Love you more then life itself baby boy, rest in peace, you will always forever be in my heart and on my mind.
Love, Mom
