LUTZ, Rick 1959 – 2021

The family of Rick Lutz is saddened to announce his sudden passing at home in Red Deer on Friday, December 17, 2021 at the age of 62. Rick was born and raised in Red Deer, moving to Stettler in 1983 where he met and married Donna Scheerschmidt. He worked in the oilfield industry for many years. Rick will be remembered by his sons, Robbie and Danny of Stettler; his mother, Marion of Red Deer; his brother, Greg (Deborah) of Red Deer; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Rick was predeceased by his daughter, Brittany Scheerschmidt – Lutz in 1993; and his father, Dan Lutz in 2013. A private family gathering will be held. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Stollery Children’s Hospital, 800 College Plaza, 8215 – 112 Street, Edmonton, AB, T6G 2C8.
