Lorie-Ann Terry

June 4, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lorie-Ann Terry on June 4th, 2026, at the age of 58 years. Lorie passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital ICU after a courageous battle with health complications related to chronic kidney disease.

Born in Brandon, Manitoba, Lorie spent much of her childhood moving from place to place before eventually settling in Regina, Saskatchewan, where she built a life surrounded by family, friends, and the people she loved most.

Lorie was predeceased by her grandparents, but in her passing leaves to mourn; her loving husband Joseph; her children, Chris, and Brianna (Jesse); her stepchildren, Carlie (Nathaniel), Brendan (Stefanie), and Taylor; her parents, James Terry and Linda (George) Care; her brother, Lance (Susan); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and her beloved furry companion, Lola.

Some of Lorie’s fondest memories were made spending time with family and friends, enjoying days at the lake, and sharing her remarkable gift of music. She had a deep love for singing and karaoke, and anyone fortunate enough to hear her sing knew what a special talent she possessed.

Lorie had an enormous heart, a deep love for animals, and was always willing to help those in need. For many years, she brought joy and companionship to residents at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, volunteering her time and karaoke equipment to entertain others until her health no longer allowed her to do so. Her kindness and generosity touched countless lives.

Her career also brought her immense pride and fulfilment. Through her work supporting women and youth at risk, she made a lasting difference in the lives of many and left a legacy of compassion, advocacy, and care. Lorie was also deeply proud of her involvement with the Coalition Against No-Fault Insurance, where she passionately advocated for the rights of those affected and worked to make a meaningful difference in others’ lives.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff who cared for Lorie throughout her illness and during her final days. A special thank you is extended to Lorie’s sister-in-law and dear friend, Angie, for her unwavering support, love, and presence when it was needed most.

In keeping with Lorie’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorie’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to an animal rescue organization of your choice.

Lorie, you were such a special person and will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, my love!
