Dale Alfred Loney

Dale Alfred Loney, late of Regina, Saskatchewan, passed away at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 72.

Dale was predeceased by his parents Delmer Loney and Astrid Fischer; in-laws Floyd and Athalie Barrett; grandson Scott Craig; and other dear extended family members.

Dale is survived by his wife Shelley; daughters Rheana (Vince) Rogers and Kendra (Kurt) Stewart; grandchildren Dane, Kamden, Vaughn, Colter and Mae; and numerous family and close friends.

Dale lived a life full of independence and integrity, enjoying his time with friends and family, holidays with his children and grandchildren, time at the lake and farm, rounds of golf, and walks with his dogs.

In keeping with his wishes, interment of his ashes will take place in private and no services will be held. An open house Celebration of Dale’s Life will occur on Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Loney residence from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The family asks those wishing to honor Dale’s life make a donation in his name to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre c/o the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan.

Deepest condolences to all the family with heartfelt sorrow. Dale was always his own person with a huge dedication to his family. Greeted everyone with a positive attitude and inquisitive mind. May the days of loss turn into treasured memories. Remember riding from the cabin on his bike, so long ago.

My heartfelt condolences to Shelley, Rheana, Kendra and all the other family members. I have fond memories of Dale in many years of golf trips to San Antonio as well as golf in Saskatchewan when he and Scott or Randy came out to play at Katepwa. I also remember the many meet-ups at Bushwakker for pizza and a pint on Tuesdays when appointments brought me to Regina, and the occasional sleep-over in the spare bedroom when Dale and I had attended a single malt scotch or beer tasting.

Shelley, and Family, We are so sorry and saddened to get word of Dale's passing. We have good memories of getting together for the Barrett Reunions. We know that you all will miss him, as will all of us cousins, Canadian and US. Know that you are all in our thoughts, especially on Canada Day when many of you will gather to play honor to this fine man.
