Irene Helen Litowski
1935-2023
It is with sad but grateful hearts we celebrate the life of our dear Mom, Grandma and Great-grandma, Irene Helen Litowski, whom peacefully slipped away, holding her daughter’s hand, at the age of 88, on Dec.25,2023, at the Coteau Range Manor in Avonlea, Sask.
Irene was born in Rockford, Sask. Because of her hip impairment, most of her childhood life was spent at the Regina Junior Red Cross Facility. As a young lady, she was employed at various businesses in Regina. During these years she met and married Nick Litowski, and they only had one daughter. Irene was a homemaker, daycare worker and an active bowler, winning many awards, with the Regina Catholic Ladies League. In 1973, the family moved to Avonlea and she was the bookkeeper for their business. Irene loved playing various card games, Bingo, Bunko, and going to the Casino. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, baking and watching her Grandson’s sporting events. Left to cherish her lifetime of wonderful memories and mourn her passing is her daughter and son-in-law, Charlene & Raymond Jelinski, her grandsons and their families, Josh, Jessica & Kolton, and Mark, Daneen & Claire Jelinski, her brothers and sister-in-laws, as well as many special nieces and nephews. Irene was predeceased by her husband Nick Litowski, Great-grandson Aidan Jelinski, her parents Joe & Margaret Holhauser and numerous other family members.
Special appreciation to the kind and compassionate care given, from all the staff at the Coteau Range Manor, the Pallitive Care team in Moose Jaw and the Allan Blair Clinic in Regina.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to, Coteau Range Manor, Box 60, Avonlea, Sask. S0H0C0.
A memorial service will be held on January 18th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Avonlea Community Hall on Main St.
