Donald Philip Newton Link

January 3, 2024

Donald Link

After enduring health issues for many years, on January 3, 2024, Donald Philip Newton Link (Don) passed away quietly, with loved ones by his side. He was born in Lestock, Saskatchewan, to Ed Link (deceased) and Doreen Link (deceased) September 21, 1951. Don cherished his visits with his siblings: Ed, Jenny, Elsie, Jean (deceased), Brenda, Roy, Chris, Fran, and their families. He was devoted to his beloved wide of 50 years, Beverley, his daughter Cora Lee, and his son Chad. Don has an indelible love of hunting, fishing and all things living in nature which he joyfully shared with his six grandchildren: Brady, Cody, Tyler, Hailey, Cruze and Mikayla. During his life, Don farmed cereal grains and spices, was a journeyman electrician by trade and enthusiastically raised hundreds of white-tailed deer, one orphaned baby moose and always had a dog by his side. Don could make or fix just about anything from perogies to farm machinery and never shied away from a challenge. This July long weekend, we will formally celebrate Don's life with a graveside service at St. Joseph's Cemetery near Lestock and continue to Don's farm bear Kelvington. Particulars pending.
