Henry Liebelt

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry, much loved husband, father and grandfather. He leaves to mourn, his beloved wife Cindy, of 55 years; daughters Wendy (Bill) Maniotakis and Heidi Vandenhoudt (Dan Morin); son Kevin Liebelt; and grandsons Jason, Brant, Bryan and Derek. He was predeceased by his son Terry in 1976. Henry was born in Gnadenfeld, Ukraine and came to Canada in 1953. He worked in construction all his life, and helped shape Calgary’s changing skyline. A Celebration of Henry's life will be held at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, 7602 – 22 A Street SE, Calgary, AB on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 11:00 am. Private reception to follow.

Dear Cindy & Family, there is another star in the heavens. I was very sad to hear the news, it will not be the same when I come home. Henry always had lots of stories to tell and a laugh to be shared at the neighbourhood happy times.. My wonderful memory was when Ryan sprayed Henry with the garden hose and he just laughed and went in the house to get dry shorts on. It is a difficult time for you now, please try to remember the laughter and love that you shared. Try to be strong and think of all the angels in heavens that will be laughing at Henrys' stories, it is their turn for laughter now. Take care and be strong. XOXO

Dear Cindy & Family - we are thinking of you at this time. You were the best neighbors in Parkland that one could ever hope for. He is not gone. His spirit lives eternally with our Creator. Dear Cindy: Henry's great smiles of pleasure at seeing anyone he encountered on his road trips around the village will be missed a lot. I don't know that there is anything one can say to help you through this time of such a loss. Kindest sympathies to you and your family.
