Christine Angela Leight

Christine Angela Leight (Pedersen), 79, of Calgary, AB, formerly Scotch Creek, BC, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020. Christine was a remarkable woman of strength, courage and resilience. To quote her granddaughter, “Grandma lives her life out loud.”

Christine was the only child of Elisa and Emil Pedersen. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Edward Leight, April 1, 2018.

Christine is lovingly remembered and survived by her children, Angela Reece, Patricia (Rene) Chalut, Robert (Linda) Leight; grandchildren, Evan Chalut, Casey (Darren) Hannis, Wynne (Joseph) St. Hilaire, Kieran (Zoe) Reece; her dog and beloved companion, Hank.

The family would like to acknowledge the compassionate staff at the Foothills Hospital, Unit #62 and the kindness and support of the entire staff at Atria Arbour Lake.

A Memorial Service will be held in Calgary, Alberta at a later date.

Messages of Condolence

For the last number of years both Chris and Bob came into my life. I was given the great opportunity of spending numerous hours and days listening to both their life stories. I so enjoyed sitting and visiting with this most humble couple. After loosing Bob, it was clear Chris’s lost her soul mate. Although she struggled with her loss she still found it in herself to want to dote on someone and find a place in her heart to laugh, cry and feel wild and crazy with the top down in the bug. She was a wonderful and carrying woman and I will certainly miss the time having that 5pm happy hour, giggles and watching the dogs at play! My deepest condolences to Rob, Linda, Hank (the boxer) and family! Kathy
