Ronald John Lehr

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ronald John (Ron) Lehr on April 28, 2020, at the age of 76 years, after a lengthy illness. Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Diane, his son Kelly Lehr and daughter Rhonda (Lee) Walkey; three grandsons; Jared, Ashton and Kallen, and granddaughter Eden. Ron is survived by his sister Gladys Fletcher and brother Kelly (Donna) Lehr, and brothers-in-law John Kelly, Brian (Kay) Cruickshank, Clark Cruickshank, Robert (Betty) Cruickshank, Ken Cruickshank, Chris (Carolyn) Cruickshank and Phil (Wendy) Cruickshank. He was pre-deceased by his sister Joyce Kelly, sister-in-law Jan Cruickshank and grandson Sebastian Lehr. Ron was born in Cardston, AB, and his passions were camping, model trains and restoring hotrods - most recently a 1956 Ford pickup, “Pepe.” A celebration of life may be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada at crohnsandcolitis.donarportal.ca.

What an inspiration for all of us to try to follow, I shall forever miss the special phone calls from Ron to check on his older sister to make sure I was okay, we always shared some good laughs and just enjoyed the contact. Since we were the oldest and the youngest we shared a special bond, he kept saying to me I am not a baby I am the baby of the family. He has provided a lot of happy memories and he will be greatly misseed by many.

I will always miss Ron's humor.E.g..while. Swatting mosquitoes in Alaska Ron said "it doesn't get much better than this does it! Also when asked how he was doing, he would say" if I was any better, I would have a run away".
