December 3, 1931 – July 29, 2013

George LeBlanc of Airdrie, AB passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the age of 81 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Marlene. George will be lovingly remembered by his children, Colleen (Frank) Stapley of Carstairs, AB, their children and grandchildren; Laurie (Jim) Brigan of Airdrie, AB, their children and grandchildren; Sherryle (Dale) Guze of Drayton Valley, AB, and their children; Dwayne LeBlanc of Drayton Valley, AB, and his son; Shonna Blair (Wendell Watson) of Crossfield, AB, their children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George’s memory to Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, 2888 Shaganappi Trail NW, Calgary, AB T3B 6A8.

We are so sorry to hear of George's passing but take comfort in knowing he is at peace. We are lucky to have so many fun memories of campfires, singsongs, and campouts with George. I know you will all miss him dearly.

My deepest sympathies go out to the LeBlanc family. I have many, many memories of George when he and his famiy were our neighbour on First Avenue and even after they no longer lived across the street. Of course, the memories are all good and some are especially humourous...like the way you had to brace yourself when he gave you a hug!!
