I was so sorry to hear about Mrs.Leavitt. She was like a second Mom to me in my younger years. Their door was always open and always there when I needed her. I can’t thank her and Mr. Leavitt enough. Dear Jerry and family, We are so very sorry for your loss of Barbara. Mom is sure going to miss her at AgeCare Midnapore. I will always remember fondly Mrs. Leavitt as my kindergarten teacher. We hold you all in our thoughts and prayers. ~ Peggy Charuk and Bev Fournie

My sincere condolences to Barbara's family. Barbara taught me at Jefferson School in Grade 7 & 8. She was by far the best teacher I ever had. Learning became easy, fun and enjoyable. My special memory of Miss Bateman was when we listened to a baseball game on the radio but in return did extra work at home. Also I enjoyed the math test that took up more than 3 blackboards; of course my favourite subject. Sincere condolenses to the family. ~ Estrid (Carlson) Nagata
