Russell has peacefully gone home with our Lord Jesus in the early morning of Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Peter Lougheed Santuari Hospice at the age of 61 years. Russell had lived in Calgary from 1971– 2012. He had numerous health conditions. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Barbara (nee Ambury). Russell worked for Hutton’s Auto Electric (1972-1979) and Canada Post Corporation in their plant (1979-2004). A Memorial Celebration of Russell H. Lafrentz will be celebrated on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Bridges Church, 404 – 10 Street NE, Calgary, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Russell to kidsworldmalawi.com or Santuari Hospice, Unit 42, 3500 – 26 Ave NE, Calgary, AB T1Y 6J4. Arrangements entrusted to Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services of Calgary.

Russell hear was always remembering someone and calling them to say "Hello" He had always connected to relatives by saying happy anniversary or a birthday. Russell was a gentle teddy bear with a big heart. He always remembered everyone's birthday with a phone call.
