Doreen Mary Kutney (Turnbull)

Doreen Kutney, a long time resident of Carstairs, Alberta, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Didsbury General Hospital. The daughter of Agnes and Rubin Turnbull, Doreen was born and raised in Toronto. In 1958, Doreen met and married the love of her life, Orest .. Kutney. Doreen and Larry moved to Carstairs, Alberta where they became the proud parents of two loving children, David and Keir. Doreen leaves behind a legacy of three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Doreen was not only a coach, but also an avid tennis and basketball player, of which she excelled. Doreen was noted for her knitting, a hobby that gave precious gifts to many. Doreen was a loving loyal wife and mother and no one escaped her wake without adoring her. Doreen touched many lives and will live forever in the hearts that loved her.

Our condolences to larry and the family. We only learned a year ago about doreens passing. I have fond memories of her as our neighbor. Her recipe collecting and feeding birds by hand. She will be greatly missed!
