KIAT, Samuel Lacap

Samuel Kiat was born March 28, 1968 and passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the age of 47 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Joy; daughter, Samantha; son, Joshua; sister, Ruth (Geri); brother, Paul; nephew, Rhys; niece, Lauryn; and numerous relatives in the USA and the Philippines. A sincere thank you to Jose and Lee Kiat, Sam’s aunt and uncle, who we would want to thank for their support, kindness and love. A special thank you to the staff at the Red Deer Hospice for their compassion in caring for Sam.

A Memorial Service will be held to honor Sam’s life at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 20 Kovac Street, Red Deer, AB on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Sam’s memory may be made to the Red Deer Hospice, 99 Arnot Avenue, Red Deer, AB, T4R 3S6.

My dear friend Joy, we will miss Sam so much. He was such a large part of our congregation . Always a smiling face to greet everyone even when he was not well. It was a pleasure to know him and we will be so excited to welcome him back in the resurrection . We love you, Samantha and Josh so much!

Sam you were also part of our Maxxam family. Sam worked with and for me coming this Dec would have been 24 years so for over half of his short life on this earth. In that time we not only became coworkers but friends. Sam was my right hand man and today it feels like Maxxam and I have lost a lot more than just a right hand. We have also lost part of our family, a mentor, a true friend, and a beautiful human being. these thoughts are also shared by many of the clients Sam look after over the years. In all the time Sam worked for Maxxam I can honestly say I never heard anyone from Maxxam or a client say a bad word about Sam. Sam had a wicked sense of humor, a great smile and infectious laugh, We will miss the warmth and joy you brought into the room when you entered. Sam you will be missed by many but not forgotten.
