Dolly Carrie Kezama

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom (Baba) Dolly Carrie Kezama on March 15, 2021 at the age of 80 years.

Dolly was predeceased by her parents Joe and Stella; husband Walter; daughter Dedrie; and her siblings June and Tony.

She is survived by her daughters Tonya, Glenda (Brent) and Koren; grandchildren Justin (Jenny), Kara (Justin) and their children Kitt and Finn, Tyler (Ashton) and their children Beckett and Livi, Kimberlee (James), Kasandra and her son Eli, Krystyna and her daughter Kash, Katrina and her daughter Khleo, Kyle, Derrek and Emma; her sister Jane: her extended family Crystal (Daryl) and their children Austin and Mackenzie, Nicole (Jeremy) and their children Tanner, Page and Jayde.

Dolly was born in Endeavor, Saskatchewan. She married Wally on November 10, 1962 and together they raised four daughters. Mom lived vicariously through her daughter’s sports and Ukrainian Dancing. She was a dedicated Saskatchewan Roughriders Fan. Dolly was at her best when spending time at the lake with family and was especially happy when fishing with Wally (Gedo).

Dolly will be joyfully remembered by all those whom she touched.

The family wants to extend a special thanks to the staff at Elmview Extendicare for taking special care of Baba.

Early in life you were my super babysitter as well as cousin. I can remember early conversations my parents had about Dolly and her trendy high heels leaving dents in the lino! What a terrific girl you were. In my returns to Canada, my itinerary wasn’t complete without a visit with her. She would serve up wonderful Ukrainian food and haul out the photo albums to proudly show off her memories of raising her family. I trust that my itinerary in the future will allow me to catch up with my cousin Dolly!

I was very sadden when I heard about Dolly. She was a remarkable person. We get so busy in our little lives that we forget how much others have meant to us. I will always remember Dolly with her ready smile and awesome laugh. So proud of her beautiful daughters. She was a hard worker and a great partier. I am sure that her passing will leave a large hole in the hearts of all that loved her. But I am sure she is loved always by those she left behind and those she is with now. Take care

Sorry to see that Dolly passed away. My sincere condolences to her daughters and their families. I will always remember the tons of fun we had doing Ukrainian dancing together with the girls!! And remembering how Dolly was always there supporting us and was a great leader in the Ukrainian community. And there was always a good time at Wally's and Dolly's after a great performance!!

I worked at Elmview for a short time and I so enjoyed Dolly, she had such a smile and was usually willing to sit and have a chat. I enjoyed my time with her tremendously. My sympathy goes out to her whole family, she will be missed.
