Esther Kerby

Esther Kerby (Farago) passed away peacefully on Sunday January 13, 2019 at the age of 93. Born in Hungary, on December 23, 1925, she later immigrated to Canada as a young child. Esther married James M. Kerby in Calgary on December 29, 1944. She is predeceased by her husband James M. Kerby and daughter Joyce Kerby in infancy as well as by her siblings, Mike, Chester, Julius, John, Andrew and Rose. She is survived by her sons, Jim D. Kerby (Carolyn) and Gordon P. Kerby (Lily). Her grandchildren, Sasha L. Guido (Dorian), Kevin D. Kerby, Gloria E. Kerby and James C. Kerby (Fiancée Amanda) and step-grandson Rod Ridgen (Kelli). Great grandchildren Carissa, Austin, Jacob and Madison, step-great grandchildren Talia, Tiana and Ella. Sister-in-law Doreen Kerby, and niece Margaret Olsen (Merlin). She will be lovingly remembered and forever loved. A Graveside Service to be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery, 4th Street and 31st Avenue NW, Calgary on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 1:30p.m.

Condolences to you all on the death of Aunt Esther. Although we saw her infrequently and briefly over the years, we have very fond memories of her. She was always so kind and welcoming. I remember her smile, her laugh and the twinkle in her eyes. May you all remember her well! Reg and Marianne
