Frank Kenna

The family is saddened to announce that Frank Kenna passed away on Friday February 28th, 2020 as a result of complications following a short hospital stay. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Anna; sons Tim (Ruth), Matthew (Andrea) and Bret (Lisa); grandchildren; Gabriella, Samuel, Andrew, William, Joseph, Marisa and Makaela; sisters Jean (Chris), and Wynn. He is also survived by his step family; Sharon (Geordie) Meagan and Amanda. He was predeceased by his wife Bonita in 1983 and siblings Tom, Len, and Aileen.

Born in Monarch Alberta and moving to Vancouver Island at a young age, instilled his love of the ocean and birds. Those who knew Frank were struck by his sense of humour, his commitment to family, and personal ethics. He was a devoted teacher and principal with the Surrey School Board for 35 years.  He was grateful for the joy he found with Anna in his retirement as they traveled and experienced life together. Frank was a true gentleman and will be missed by many.

We would like to thank the staff at Langley Memorial Hospital for their respectful and caring support this past week. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to the Langley Memorial Hospital.

A date for a Celebration of Life will take place in late spring or summer. An announcement will be made to family and friends.

You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence for the family.
