Karl Zahn

With both sadness and gratitude for a long life well lived, the family of Karl Zahn announces his passing on Monday, March 2, 2026 at the age of 96.

Born in Germany, Karl came to Canada in 1954, eventually settling in Burnaby where he lived for almost 60 years. He remained active and engaged in his communities of Burnaby and New Westminster well into his later years. Pre-deceased by his wife, Elizabeth, he is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Paul) Antoniadis and extended family. He will always be remembered for his kind spirit, his remarkable memory for people and stories, and for the quiet example he set to continue living a full and independent life at any age.

While he will be greatly missed, there is comfort in knowing he is now at peace. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Century House Association in New Westminster.
