Karen Joynt

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Joynt on January 12, 2026, at the age of 71. Karen was born on December 13, 1954, in Hamilton, Ontario.

Karen is lovingly remembered by her sister, Susan; her three daughters, Brieanne, Sheralynn, and Hailey; and her seven cherished grandchildren, family and friends, all of whom held a special place in her heart. She is reunited with her parents, Marie and Dennis, and her brothers, Michael and Derek.

Karen’s dog, Oliver, was her constant companion. She brought him with her most everywhere she went. Oliver always received the last bite of her meals. Her true sidekick.

She was known for her strength, humour, kindness, warmth and for her contagious laugh that could light up a room and bring smiles to everyone around her. Karen lived her life on her own terms and went above and beyond for everyone around her. Always putting the needs of others before her own. She never missed a single baseball game, practice, performance, birthday, or event, and she played a huge role in creating lifelong memories with everyone around her. She never missed a moment that mattered.

Karen was known for her thoughtful gestures, often arriving with small gifts that became treasured keepsakes. These gifts now serve as enduring reminders of the joy she brought into our lives.

She will be missed beyond words, and her memory will live on through the lives she helped shape and the love she gave so freely.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Her love will remain with us always.
