It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leonard (Len) Kane at the age of 84. He passed away peacefully in his home in Coquitlam on Sunday July 16th after a courageous battle with cancer.
Len will be eternally missed by his son Leonard (Len) Jr , daughter in-law Kaleena Morrison and his beloved granddaughter Jade Kane. He will also be dearly missed by Karen Kane and Valerie Dennis, step-daughter Katherine (Taft) Nasby, and step-son Rowland Taft. Len cherished his role as step-grandfather to Krystal Nasby, Tiffany Nasby and Kyle Nasby. He will also be greatly missed by his dear friends Andreas Dahl, Carmen Heaver and Drew James just to name a few.
Len was born in New Westminster BC and was entrepreneur from an early age and well into retirement. One of his greatest business achievements was founding Len’s Lift Truck Delivery Ltd in 1964 and acquiring Ranger Transport Ltd. in 1978. Len overcame numerous obstacles and became a well-respected businessman in the Trucking Industry.
Most importantly, Len was a loving, generous friend, father and grandfather. While his journey on earth is complete, Len’s spirit, strength, and sense of humour will live on through all who knew and loved him.
A Heavy Truck Convoy with Len’s Ashes will depart Saturday July 29th at 3PM from Ranger Yard; 9470 – 192 Street, Surrey, BC, take a short route, returning back to Ranger Yard
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 29th 2017 at Sandman Signature Hotel Conference 8828 201 St, Langley, BC starting at 5pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Len’s memory to the BC Cancer Foundation or Inspire Health.
