KALINKA, George

George passed away peacefully at Rockyview Hospital in Calgary on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. He displayed great courage as he battled cancer and endured many medical procedures over the past year. George was born in Saskatoon on August 19,1951 and spent his earlier years attending Haultain elementary school and later graduating from Aden Bowman High School. Following completion of his academic training, he moved to Calgary where he applied his knowledge and talents in the construction industry and spent a number of years working with his brother Gene. Later he had a passion for the landscaping business and worked for Almac Landscaping Services  for over 30 years. Prior to his passing,  George expressed his faith in Christ that reflected the faith of his parents and brothers. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Mary Kalinka; and brother, Richard. He is survived by his spouse, Roxanne Kalinka; brothers, Gene (Donna Nairn), Victor (Karen), Gerry (Karen Parton); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed.
