Amy Patricia Johnson

In loving memory of Amy Patricia (Pat) Johnson (nee Kennealy) born in Bury, England in 1918, passed away peacefully in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada on December 31, 2011 at age 93. God has you in his arms, we have you in our hearts.

Predeceased by her husbands Frank Johnson and Frank Hemment, sister Eileen, and stepsons Frank Johnson of Abbotsford and Les Hemment of England. Pat will be greatly missed by her step-daughters Dorothy (Harold) and Jill (Terry), step-daughter-in-law Rose, step-son Art Johnson, niece Patricia (David), nephews Chris (Elaine), David (Barbara) and John (Ann), step-nieces Mary (Greg), Dora (Jim) and step-nephew Kenny (Joan), and step-grandchildren/great-grandchildren, great-nephews/nieces.

Special gratitude to Maryanne Hale; family; friends from Crown Point Villa in Abbotsford, B.C. and in Alliston, Ontario; staff at Abbotsford’s Hallmark Assisted Living, and Menno Hospital for your care.

Memorial Service will be held in the Summer of 2012 in Abbotsford, B.C., and burial in Alliston, Ontario.

I am Pat's first husband's granddaughter and remember her as a kind and loving lady. We have kept in touch over all these years, even though she moved so faraway, never forgetting one another's birthdays as hers was just a week earlier than mine. I would like to thank Jill and her family for all they have done for Pat going far and above the expected which must have made her life so much happier. Gramma Pat, as we knew her, was married to my Grandfather. We got to know her very well when they moved from Alliston to Abbotsford, BC. She was much loved by our son Sean, and of course by our entire family. We have missed Gramma Pat very much over the past few years. She was a kind and gentle soul. May God Bless her and keep her and we know that she is looking down at us now with that beautiful smile. We love you Gramma Pat. Kevin, Louann and Sean.

I will always remember the happy times with Pat. She never forgot a birthday or any occassion. She was a wonderful Step-Mother. She loved to shop and could go, go, go, when quite often I would have to rest to catch up. She was a wonderful Hostess and made sure you were comfortable. We used to have great talks and I loved her stories about England. I shall miss here as a Step-Mother, friend and companion.

Gramma Pat is my great grandma. I have many wonderful memories of her. Some in particular are how she always had a big plate of cookies for myself and Adam, whenever we left her house she would stand outside and wave until you could no longer see her, and how no matter what she always looked absolutely perfect. I will miss her so much, and think of her always. She will be in my heart forever, love you gramma pat!
