Agnes Grace Jefferson

Agnes passed peacefully in her 95th year with her family by her side. She was born in Toronto, ON, the youngest of three children. She lived her formative years in Ontario and moved to North Vancouver in 1970. She was predeceased by her husband Bruce in 1962. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Nancy (Tom), Peter (Cathy) and Cindy (Chris). She will also be deeply missed by her seven grandchildren Sean, Ryan, Kelsey, Jay, Amanda, Michelle and Rebecca and eight great-grandchildren.

A kind, compassionate and caring mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, her wise council, loyalty, generosity, wonderful sense of humour and never-ending encouragement was appreciated by all who knew her. She was an avid gardener and always happy to share her knowledge and passion for gardening. She moved some of her treasured plants from Ont. to BC. which are now in the gardens of family, friends and neighbours.

Her family is profoundly grateful for the loving care provided by her caregivers, without whom it would not have been possible for her to stay in her own home for her final years.

We would also like to thank the amazing Doctors and Nurses in the North Shore Hospice who cared for our Mom.

In lieu of flowers a donation to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be welcome.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the North Lonsdale United Church in the New Year. Any memories or expressions of sympathy may be left below.

She will be deeply missed by all that new her. ❤️

I had the wonderful fortune to know Agnes for 39 years. Agnes became my second Mum. I always got a smile and big hugs when we had visits. My last visit was wonderful for me because as soon as I walked into her place I got a wonderful smile and joy from her for my visit. She is now in good hands and I will miss the smile of joy on her face when we had a visits.

It is with deepest condolences to all of the family of our dear Auntie Agnes. I am so glad we got out to BC several years ago an had a lovely visit with your Mom and each one of you. We had a good evening and a good conversation and a few laughs with Auntie Agnes. I don't think I missed phoning her on her birthday every year especially in her later years.
