Tom married his high school sweetheart, Marion in Medicine Hat 61 years ago. He started his career in the tire business shortly after and became a salesman for Goodyear. In 1962, he bought into his first tire/automotive repair shop in Olds, AB with Civic Tire. In 1969, he became the Prairie District Manager for OK Tire and in 1971, he purchased his first OK Tire on Northmount Drive. Soon after, he would serve as the first president of OK Tire.
Tom was well known and respected in the industry. He helped many newcomers to the business. After a very successful career, Tom was able to retire at an early age. He and Marion spent every winter golfing in the warmth of the Arizona sun. Tom enjoyed many wonderful years golfing at Pinebrook Golf and Country Club, making many lifelong friends.
While doing all this along with his devoted wife, he raised three adoring children. His family and legacy continue to grow.
