Eileen Hoglund

Born Sunderland, England.

It is with profound sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Eileen.

She was a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed.

Eileen came to Canada with her family when she was fourteen. The family made their home in Ontario and Eileen later moved to Winnipeg and then finally to BC and the West Coast.

Eileen loved travel, gardening, interior design, reading and loved entertaining. Her real love was to dance and that she did often. Her smile was electric that warmed your heart. And her laugh infectious.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donny (43 years); sister, Isobel (Robin); niece, Kim; nephew, Stephen (Jami); great niece; Alysen; great nephews; Eric (Briley) and Cayden. Sister in laws and brother in laws, Diane -Jerry, Raymond, Ruth, and their siblings. As well many cousins abroad and friends along the way.

Eileen is predeceased by her parents Edward and Isabella.

Donny & Eileen's family wish to provide thanks to the staff of Ellen Sinclair Kennett Lodge (Redwood unit) and Peace Arch Hospital. As well special thanks to Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's society in Eileen's name.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

A private celebration of life to be held July 27, noon at Boundary Bay Cemetery.
