It is with great pain and heartbreak we announce the sudden passing of Michael James Hill on Monday, November 29, 2021, at the age of 24, in Red Deer, AB.

He leaves behind to mourn his mother, step-father, two brothers, as well as extended family and friends.

Michael began his life with health struggles. After the first 7 months of his life spent in the Alberta Children's Hospital, his journey truly began. He grew up to become the most fiercely loyal, loving, kind and compassionate person. He would do anything to help and protect the people he called family or friend. A Celebration of his Life, where people can come together to share stories and memories, will be held at the Elks Hall BPOE No. 85, 6315 Horn Street, Red Deer, Alberta, on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name, directly to the Alberta Children's Hospital, 28 Oki Drive NW,Calgary, AB, T3B 6A8.

I am so saddened we all have to say goodbye to you. You were such an amazing human. Such a blessing to be around in any circumstance. You always knew how to keep everyone laughing and smiling, and never walked away without a big warm hug to give. Every time I seen you, you would always come running up to ask me how I'm doing and offer and ear to listen during my struggles. This year at the fair you gave my kiddo all your fair tickets so she could go enjoy the fair, and that brought the biggest smile to her face. You were truly one of a kind and you will be extremely missed. My condolences to his family, and all of his loved ones. Rest peacefully Mike. You're free from any pain. Its your turn to smile now. Where do you start? What do you even say? I’ve been here I know this pain all to well… I’m sorry Michael that you had so many struggles in life I wish life was easier in many ways, I’m sorry I couldn’t be there to say goodbye your spirit will live on with many many many people you were loved by more people than you know…. I’m happy I got to get to know you a little each time I visited and when you lived in Ontario for awhile. I love you I do hope you are with Jessica and papa … always loved Auntie Donna XOXO

My cuz, My friend, my mom's best friend. I will always have a place in my heart for Michael, he was truly a good person, I remember me and my siblings always having sleepovers with michael. He was a good person overall, I hope that I will see him sometime again, Me , my mom, my siblings, will always miss you. Until we meet again, I hope you know i love you from here down on earth, to you up in heaven, rest well.
