HERTZSPRUNG, Doreen Marion Selena (Sly)

Doreen Hertzsprung, born in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan on May 2, 1931, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the age of 84. She is survived by her loving husband, Irwin of 62 years; son, Paul (Maffelda) Hertzsprung; daughter, Marianne (Sandy) Isfeld; daughter, Julianne Hertzsprung; son, David Hertzsprung; brother, Don Sly; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Doreen’s Life will be held at Richmond Hill Baptist Church, 7251 Sierra Morena Blvd SW, Calgary, AB on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doreen’s memory to the Mustard Seed Calgary, 102 – 11 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB, T2G 0X5.

Messages of Condolence

You might recall that we are the people who sold you our home in Murray Acres. We want to extend our condolences to the family. We always enjoyed the Berg Chorale and Irwin's piano playing! I had my Bible rebound quite a number of years ago by Irwin and am still using it. It has lasted longer than the original binding! We receive the Carlton's newsletters - so have had that link with the family for several years - from our time in Carstairs. May the Lord bless you and keep you always.
