Helen Johnson (née Edstrom)

With love and gratitude for her life, the family of Helen Johnson announces her peaceful passing on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the age of 90.

Born near Anerley, Saskatchewan to John and Fanny Edstrom, Helen was one of nine children. She had a natural talent for administration, pursuing her education in Saskatoon before building a lifelong career that showcased her meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail.

On November 26, 1955, Helen married John Richard Lindemann, and together they built a life filled with love and family. They raised four children, creating cherished memories of summers spent at the lake and winters snowmobiling. Their cottage on Last Mountain Lake near Glen Harbour became a treasured retreat where they embraced the joys of nature.

After Richard’s passing in 2014, Helen was fortunate to find love again with Wallace Johnson (d.2025), whom she married in December 2015. Their years together were marked by companionship, warmth, and shared joy.

Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She adored her family, embracing each moment with warmth and care. Her kindness and excellent cooking were appreciated by all who knew her.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Pasqua Hospital and later the Weyburn Special Care Home, who cared for Helen with kindness during her short time there.

Honouring Helen’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Instead, a quiet family gathering will take place later this summer to celebrate her life.
