Hedy Reimer of Abbotsford, BC passed from this life into her heavenly home on October 25, 2026. She was born in Waldheim, Saskatchewan on July 27, 1926 but spent most of her growing up years in Agassiz and Abbotsford.

Hedy received her nursing degree through VGH Nursing School and used her nursing skills to care for others in places like the Canadian Arctic, Haiti and 13 countries across Central and South America including Costa Rica and Cali, Columbia. She spent ten years in Guadalajara, Mexico working with youth as part of a MB Missions project. She has many friends and contacts still from those years.

After the death of her mother in 1985, she moved back to Abbotsford to be a support to her father. She was able to continue her nursing career in Chilliwack during this time, until her retirement at age 65. Hedy loved travelling and enjoyed many trips to Mexico and numerous cruises to different locations around the world.

Hedy never married but considered all those that accepted Christ through her testimony as being her children. Her greatest joy in life was telling people about Jesus.

Hedy is predeceased by her brothers Helmuth (Helen) and Ernie (Leona), sister Elizabeth (Jake), nephew Walter, and her great-nephew Ryan Ashton. She will be missed by her brother Dave and wife, Frieda, her sister-in-law, Elfrieda (Ernie), her adopted son and daughter, Don and Elli Hiebert as well as by her many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Abbotsford Hospice Society would be appreciated.

Hedy has been an amazing friend and role model for many, many years. We have all benefited from her intelligence, drive and faith.Go with love, my friend!

Martha, my wife and I had the joy of knowing Hedi for many years. We were part of “her” youth group in the Iglesia Evangelica Unida de Guadalajara, and we, as many others, were recipients of her love, care and friendship. Innumerable memories of her work at Church, at her own home and everywhere she was come to our minds. We thank God for letting us be part of her journey and share her love to our Lord Jesus. I, Roberto, particularly received so much from her. My gratitude is immense. We will keep in our heart the best of her, and among other precious things, her laugh, her wittiness (in English, Spanish or German), her practical and courageous love, and most of all, her undoubted love for her Serviour, our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Roberto and Martha Falcon
