Florence "Flo" Mabel Hassen

Florence “Flo” Hassen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, auntie, sister and friend. She passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at age 88. 

She was born to the late John and Annie Scott (Mottershead) on March 16, 1933 in Edmonton. She married the late Sid Hassen in 1963 and they eventually settled in Balzac, Alberta. Flo is lovingly remembered by her four children, Chris Hassen, Kim (John) Lamb, Karen (Kelly) Kent, Kelly (Lora) Hassen; her adored grandchildren, Nicole (Tyler), Dustin (Kayla), Colten, Jaret, Shelby, Kylene, Reece and Logan; her great-grandchildren, Callum, Connor, Emery, Bridgette, Coedrey and Paige. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother and sisterS in-law and her many nieces and nephews. Flo was also predeceased by her four siblings, and many beloved in-laws. 

Flo was immensely proud of her family and poured herself into being a part of their lives. She could also be found pouring herself into the community, she loved volunteering. She had a zest for life and leaves behind many cherished memories, recipes and family traditions. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
