Joan Aline Haskell

Joan passed away at Carewest George Boyack on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the age of 80 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Deborah (Jim); grandchildren, LeAnne (Jes) and Neil; great-grandchild, Kadence; brothers, Bert (Florence), Don (Susan); sister-in-law, Iris and their families. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Neil (December 2005) and brother, Ken (December 2005). A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11:30 am at The Carriage House Inn, 9030 Macleod Trail S, Calgary. Donations may be made in Joan’s memory to Alzheimer’s Society of Calgary, 201, 222 – 58 Avenue SW, Calgary, AB, T2H 2S3.

Debbie, I just heard that Auntie Joan passed away. I'm so sorry to hear such sad news and want to extend my deepest sympathy to you. I was just reflecting today on Christmases long past when we were young and used to spend Christmas Eve together waiting for Santa to come fill our stockings and then when our families would spend Christmas Day together. Those are cherished memories. I have very fond memories of Auntie Joan. She had a big impact on my life and I have thought of her often throughout the years. Although I had not seen her for a very long time I often missed her. My heartfelt condolences go out to you. Fondly, Leslie
