Alex was a family man, his values of his family, and Metis heritage are what drove him to be the Mushom, father, brother, friend, uncle & relative to many that he was. He was a man who took people in, welcomed them. Always greeted people with a hug and a tone in his voice that made you feel important. You knew you mattered to him, and he was always happy to see you. A lasting example of his legacy is real-world values he instilled in his grandchildren that will continue to guide them in this world such as “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me” He always said, "stand for what you believe in, don't ever back down and always put your family first."
Alex had a huge heart for animals, he could be found on any given day attending his "zoo" and held a library of knowledge about plants, animals, and our inherent connection to the land. Alex was a walking encyclopedia and was very proud of his Metis heritage.
Alex was a strong, fearless man with huge dreams and a strong work ethic, He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held for Alex at the Metis Society (2332 11th Avenue) in Regina, SK, on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 530pm - 730pm.
