GOWIN, Joyce Elizabeth Margaret (nee Blacklock)
With heavy hearts and much love our family announces Joyce’s passing from this world on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Strathmore, AB, age 91. Born in Edmonton on August 12, 1931, she lived and worked in both Edmonton and Calgary before relocating to Leduc in 2006. Joyce is survived by two sons, Lindsay (Kim) and Bruce (Cheryl); one daughter, Geri; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Per her wishes there will not be a formal Service. Forever in our hearts and memories.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with a remembered joy
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Ah yes, these things I too will miss
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life’s been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your heart and share with me
God wanted me now, He set me free
