Well Eldon when I first started in Nigeria June 2000 you were the one that greeted me at the airport and looked after me until I got my feet wet. That is 13 years ago and now I'm working in Egypt. You prepared me well...both good and BAD!!! You kept my spirits up when I lost my dad while working on my first shift in Eket. Good lessons taught that have carried me along this far. Good riding where ever you travel now. Still waiting for you to finish preparing your first lessons in order for you to train your first class!!

To Ellen and all of Eldon’s family Please accept my heartfelt Condolences. I have had pleasure of having Eldon as a friend for over twenty years during those years we have done, talked and shared many things. To Ellen and Eldon’s family I'm truly sorry for your loss. Eldon was a lovely person to talk with, a very likeable character. I had the honour of meeting him whilst working in Nigeria. It was a real shock to hear of his passing.

To Ellen,Pam,Amanda and all other family of Eldon's that we have not yet had the honor to meet or know. Eldon was an incredible soul and we missed him a lot after he left Didsbury. We shared many good times back in the day. We felt bad we could not pay our respects,as we found out about his memorial too late. We will never forget his zest for life and how wonderful he was for a friend. We thought of him often and wished always for another opportunity to cross paths......and we will some day. Eldon, You did not have to know someone to lend a helping hand. That is exactly how you have related with me all the 18 years I have known you as an Instructor at the Mobil Technical Training Centre, Eket. May the good Lord grant you eternal peace in his bosom. Dearest old man but young at heart. I love you. Words I couldn't speak to you as a child. You were my first father figure of my life and I would be forever grateful. You showed me how to be a hard worker for my family. Single mother of 2. I know now what working your fingers to the bone, actually means. You showed me how to keep my hands up and feet moving during a fight. This taught me to never give up no matter how big or fast my opponent is. I could always be faster, quicker, and stronger. You showed me love. You may have not have been around all the time because of work but I was watching when you were. I will remember our rides on the bike and the fact thathat coming home to nicely polished Harley always had you smiling. You were my foster dad, my dad. And you will be forever missed but never forgotten. You and Ellen cared when no one else would and for that you have made me who I am today. Strong, independent, and most of all gracious.
