Anthony (Tony) Gillis

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Tony Gillis on May 27, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family. 

Tony was born on November 29, 1959. He grew up in North Burnaby where he attended Parkcrest and Kensington schools. He went on to master the art of salesmanship. Whether it was audio, appliances, or furniture, Tony was your go-to guy. 

He had a quick wit, warm heart, and never met a stranger. He truly treasured all his family and friends. 

Tony is predeceased by his mother Elsie, father Paul (who passed May 4, 2022), and his brother Stephen. 

He is survived by his brother Tom (Tutka), sister Debra (Ron), brother Gerry (Liz), nieces, nephews, extended family, his cat Blu, and many friends near and far. 

We are thankful for the doctors, nurses and staff at BC Cancer, Surrey Memorial, and Laurel Place Hospice for their excellent care.
