Dean Alexander Giesbrecht

Dean passed away suddenly, aged 60, at home in Aldergrove. He will be sadly missed by his mother Janette Johnson, father Dave Giesbrecht (Joanne), brother Jeffery (Branda), daughter Amanda (Jumean), son David (Brandi), and many relatives and friends.

Dean was proud of his work with the Falkland Volunteer Fire Department and in the construction industry throughout B.C. He was a good-hearted man who loved playing his guitar, cheering on the Seahawks, and being with family and friends. We will never forget his laugh and straight-talking ways.

Here’s to you, Deano ! There will be no service due to the pandemic.

Even though we didn’t see much of each other these past years due to the distance between us(I live in Alberta), we were always close in spirit. The last comment I had from Dean was “ Love you, Sis ❤️“. That was just over a month ago. When we were very young, Jeff was sick a lot so mama would walk the floors with him at night and Dean would snuggle in beside me on the couch (that’s where we slept then). When I was older and lived in Penticton and Dean was in Falkland, he called me one thanksgiving to see if I wanted to come for dinner. I didn’t have a vehicle at the time so he drove to Penticton to get me and then the next day drove me back. It was over 2hrs driving one way. There are many such memories I have with Dean. Far too many to post but I love you Dean and I will miss you terribly.
