George S. Vaandering

George was born October 21 1942 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and passed away on April 18, 2025 in Vancouver, British Columbia He was the second son of Arend and Hiske (Schouwstra) Vaandering and was predeceased by his older brother, Ad, sister-in-law, Dien and daughter, Natasha. George is survived by his children, Sean, Johnathon and Maria. He is dearly missed by his younger brother, Dirk, several nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for George on May 24th at Central Presbyterian Church, 1155 Thurlow St Vancouver BC, V6E1X2

So very sorry for the family’s loss, uncle George was an amazing uncle to my best friend Marjorie. I have many fond memories with George growing up, including him teaching us how to salsa dance with Umberto in Marjorie’s living room in Delta.George was always happy & seemed to love spending time with his family.George will be missed by many people including myself. May he rest in peace 💕
