I was so very sad to hear the news of John’s passing. John was the kindest man I have ever known. He loved Nasar, the blues, hockey, travel, his family, but none greater than the love for his daughter Izzy. People who knew him can attest that their world is just a bit sadder for not having him in it. Although we haven’t had much contact these past few years whenever I think of him it is always with a warm heart. You will be missed Johnnypoo. ❤️ ~ Trudy Swidley

Johnny Gatz, my brother, I will miss you more than I could ever say here. So many fond memories....road trips to Bristol, blues shows at the Commodore, game 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final to name but a few. Giant man, giant hands, and a giant heart.
