Sheila Lou Gaspar

On Sunday February 5th, 2023, Sheila Lou Gaspar, a loving Nanny (Grandmother), Mother, Sister, Wife, and Friend, passed away at the age of 88. Sheila passed away the day after her 88th birthday, which she spent surrounded by her loved ones. Her son and daughter-in-law, Chris, and Cheryl. Her Granddaughter and granddaughter-in-law Alysse and Tara and her great grandchildren Sydon and Calliope.

Sheila was born February 4th, 1935, in Ontario where she grew up with her father and Mother, Howard and Violet Prosser (predeceased) and her sister Verna Toth (Prosser).

Sheila went to Hairdressing School in 1949 where she completed the course with honours and went on to work at a Beauty Salon where she supervised 24 women and their assignments. Sheila had many other interesting jobs over the years.

On December 9th, 1954, Sheila was married to Frank Walter Gaspar. They were married for 69 years. They had three sons, Christopher, Colin (predeceased) and Troy.

Sheila was an amazing Nanny to her grandchildren (Alysse, Katelyn, Tyler, and Lauren) and great grandchildren (Sydon and Calliope). Who will miss her greatly and cherish the many memories they had together like going to the movies, sleepovers, eating chocolate pudding, and hours spent on the phone together.  Sheila loved her family, her farm, her friends, her dog Charlie, and her church where she was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked hard everyday of her life and her strength, love and determination was felt by all that were blessed enough to know her. She will be dearly missed by all.
