Peter Francesco Gallo, late of Earl Grey, SK, age 43 years, claimed the best seat in the house to watch his beloved Saskatchewan Roughriders on Thursday, December 19, 2019.
Peter was surrounded by love in his final moments.
He was predeceased by grandparents Lloyd and Kathy Lemke; grandparents Francesco and Antonietta Gallo; and cousin Joe Gallo.
Peter leaves behind to treasure his memory his wife Cheri; daughters Giacinta and Carmela; parents Pietro and Diane Gallo; brother James Gallo (Tiffany); nieces Hannah and Jordyn; sister Amy Gallo (Jordan); nephew Karsen; beloved rescue dogs Harry and Lloyd; beloved rescue cats Rexy and Junior; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and community members.
Peter was born on September 20, 1976 in Winnipeg, MB and grew up in Weyburn and Strasbourg, SK.
There were many passions in Peter’s life, including hunting, fishing, being a season ticket holder for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, playing softball and fastball, being a member of the Earl Grey Volunteer Firefighters and a member of Earl Grey Town Council.
Peter loved his community and was extremely proud to raise his children in Earl Grey.
The Gallo family extends gratitude to special friends Faith and Jason Mohr, as well as Shayne Krochak and the Earl Grey Volunteer Firefighters for their unending support in Peter’s journey.
The Gallo family also expresses gratitude to Patricia of the North Palliative Care Team as well as Melinda, Shelly and Alicia, Dr. Buwembo and Dr. Iqbal and the nursing staff on 3B and the ER Staff at the Pasqua Hospital for their compassionate care.
Celebration of Peter’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Earl Grey Town Hall, Earl Grey, SK.

It’s been many years since I knew the family, back when Pete and Diane owned the coffee shop and my folks Frank and Anne enjoyed so much time there. But my memories are all of very good folks who cared deeply about their community and inspired young Peter to be the same kind of person.
