Gladys Katherine Galipeau

Gladys Katherine Galipeau passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 74 years, on Saturday, September 3, 2011. Gladys is survived by her brother Leonard (Maggie) Galipeau of Sherwood Park, Alberta and her aunt Verna Routh and family of Rimbey, Alberta. She also leaves to mourn her loss very special friend Kalie Miller (Dean) and family, and friend Lorna (Rod) Boden and family. Gladys will be remembered for her love and compassion toward animals, especially her special dog Bingo, who she looked forward to being reunited with. A Memorial Service will be held at the Red Deer Lodge, Gull Lake Room, 4311 – 49 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Red Deer and District SPCA, 4505 – 77 Street, Red Deer, Alberta T4N 5H3 or www.reddeerspca.com.

Wishing my Deepest Sympathy in the passing of Gladys. I met Gladys at bingo a few years ago. She was a wonderful person with a big heart. She loved her friends and family very much, but also loved the little critters in our lives. She did a lot for the SPCA and I'm sure they will miss her help, but also that smile, we will never forget. I'm working in the north so won't be able to attend her memorial, but will be thinking of you, at this time. Myrna
