FREY, Frank
Frank Frey passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the age of 87 years. He was born in Moir, Hungary on October 12, 1927 and came to Canada in February 1928. Raised in Penticton, BC, he moved to Alberta with his family in 1956. Frank spent 14 years in scouting as a Cub Leader and later as a Neighborhood Commissioner. He worked as an Inter-Company Courier for the Atco Group of Companies doing their interoffice mail and bank deposits for over 17 years until his retirement in February 1993. Frank loved fishing as well as camping. He especially loved to have his grandkids fish with him as soon as they were old enough. Many a wonderful story has been told around the campfire. Frank leaves to mourn his wife of 64 years, Carrie; daughter, Shirley (Harold); sons, Joseph and Richard (Sandra); daughter, Sandra (Dave); son, Donald (Jocelyn); nine grandchildren, Annette, Karen, Shauna, Kenneth, Natalie, David, Jason, Kaitlyn and Camille; one great grandson, Nathan, who loved his “Big Grandpa”; as well as two step grandchildren, Angela and Kyle.
