Eugene Leo Frei

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of our beloved father Eugene, late of Regina, on Friday, April 20, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 73 years. He is predeceased by his wife Joan; parents Mary and Leo; sister Emma Weinberger and brother Andy. Eugene is survived by his loving children Brenda, Brad, Bronya, and Brandy; grandchildren Andrew, Tyler, and Kyle; sisters Lucille, Darlene (Arnie), and Gwen; brothers Jack, Bob Sr. (Linda), and Dan (Lois); brother-in-law Gerald; sisters-in-law Fay and Val; as well as many nieces and nephews. Eugene loved his music and played accordion exceptionally well and could also play many other instruments. He worked for Barber Ellis until retirement. He will sadly missed by all who knew him.

I am your father's first cousin and Kay is his aunt. As a child I had the privlidge of spending some of my summer holidays at Aunt Mary and Uncle Leo's farm. Your father, Lucille and I were the best of friends as well as cousins. My memories of your dad are that he always had a smile on his face, he was fun loving and a very meek person who would never hurt anyone, we enjoyed many hours listing to him play the accordian. Mom and I were very sorry to read about his death, but at last he is out of pain. Mom and I would appreciate it if you could email me and let us know when the Gravesite Service is so we can attend.
