Donald Bruce Fraser

Donald Bruce Fraser passed away peacefully at his home in Lethbridge, Alberta at the age of 65 years. Don is survived by his only sibling, Sandi Goertz; niece Jenneane (Warren) Kipp, their children Brennan, Brittany and Cameron; and niece Laura (Jayme) Reid. Don was predeceased by his parents Phillip and Orpha Fraser. Don spent the majority of his working years with Canadian Western Natural Gas. He enjoyed a variety of hobbies and was especially gifted in music and photography. Don will be remembered by those who knew and loved him as a good, loyal, sensitive friend, a kind and gentle man, and by the beautiful images he captured through the eye of his camera. Don will be sadly missed by his many friends. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to be made to the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society www.CPAWS.org. At Don's request no funeral service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services of Calgary.

On behalf of the Pedersen clan our sincerest condolences go out to your whole family. As you remember we were great friends from the 60's and have always maintained a close contact with Orpha and Phil until their passing, and Don over the most recent years. I had the opportunity personally to visit with him on many occasions and through the years he never changed. He was a kind and gentle soul and will be missed by all those who knew him and were his friend. May the Lord bless you and keep you in his tender care through this difficult time.

My mom shared Don's obituary with me yesterday, Sandi, when I visited her in Red Deer. That was quite a shock as he seemed so young. I always thought of him as "twin" to my sister, Twila. Don always struck me as a person walking his own special path. I think the last time I saw him was riding on the back of Sparky's motorcycle.
