Edgar Fontaine

Edgar was born May 2, 1939. He was the sixth of eleven children, born to Omer and Diane Fontaine in Pine Falls, Manitoba. On September 5, 1964, Ed married the love of his life, Marie Rivera. 1966 brought about two major life changes for Ed and Marie, the birth of their first child, Jacqueline and a permanent move to Alberta. In the years following, Ed and Marie welcomed three more children, Sharon, Jeanine and Richard. Ed worked hard for his family and was a loyal and loving husband, father and grandfather. Ed’s kindness and infectious laugh will be deeply and forever missed by all those who knew him. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marie; daughters, Jacqueline (Kirk), Sharon (Travis) and Jeanine; son, Richard (Angela); as well as grandchildren, Sydney, Jonathan, Nikoli and Mason.

We love you grandpa.

We will miss you forever and are truly grateful to have had you in our lives.
