It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Scott George Fair on Saturday, May 14, 2016 in Regina, SK. He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Joseph. Scott is survived by his wife Donna of Regina, SK and son Scott of Edinburgh, Scotland; sisters Leslie (Edward), Josephine (Mark), Helen (Allan), Rosemary (Shug); brother Ian, all of Scotland; as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Scotland.
Scotty was also loved by his Canadian family: his mother-in-law and father-in-law Olga and Vern Apperley; five brothers-in-law Raymond (Donna), Darrell (Judy), Darren (Terri), Barry (Jessica), Cameron (Ashley); sisters-in-law Cheryl and Colleen (Darcey); as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Canada.
Scotty was born September 3, 1967 in Edinburgh, Scotland. At a very young age, he joined the Royal Scots, British Army. Scotty was posted in Northern Ireland, Germany, and CFB Suffield in Ralston, Alberta. In 1992, Scotty left the Royal Scots and joined 32 Signal Regiment, until his retirement in 2009.
In 2006, Scotty came to Canada where he was posted for 3 years; it was at this time he met his wife Donna. In 2009, Scotty immigrated to Canada. Scotty always had a smile on his face and made everyone laugh. He will be missed by his co-workers at Westexcel/Apperley Electric, where he worked for four years as the general manager of the warehouse.
Thank you to all the Nurses and Doctors for the care given to Scott and special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in Holy Family Parish, 1021 McCarthy Blvd N., Regina, SK.
