Ewart (Ewie) Varrion Farrell
1942 - 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father Ewart (Ewie) Varrion Farrell, who passed away on Saturday June 7, 2025 at the age of 82.
Ewart was born in Virginatown, Ontario to Leonard and Margaret (Stittle)Farrell. They moved to Moose Jaw in 1953.
Ewart was 11 yrs old and attended elementary school at Ross. His high school years were at Tech. Ewart met Carole (Heron) in Moose Jaw and had 4 children Micheal, Shelley, Kevin and Shawn.
Ewart spent a short time in the Air Force then started a job as a carpenter at Sash and Door in Moose Jaw, this is where he acquired his quality skills as a carpenter. Dad took alot of pride in his work over the years. They moved to Regina when Ewart was hired by Canada Post, he spent the next 33 years delivering mail. Ewart took alot of pride in his job and made many friends along the way. Dad loved the summers as after work he would try to get to his favorite past times golfing or fishing.
Ewart also loved traveling west with his family to visit extended family. One of his other favorite places to travel was Cuba. He loved the ocean and the Cuban people. He spent many winters there in his retirement.
He also enjoyed visiting with friends over breakfast or a beer.
In Ewart's later years he loved to work on projects with his good friend Rick, whether around the house or property. One of his favorite projects was his new deck which he enjoyed sitting, visiting and soaking up the sun whenever he could. Ewart loved watching his sports especially the Montreal Canadiens as he was a die hard "HABS" fan.
